Hello Beautifuls! Do you love the look of a flared pant leg? Do you love it, but never bother to wear it because of your height? If you answered yes to both questions, then keep reading because I am sharing 3 tips that will make this style pant leg look flattering on all heights!
I absolutely love the flared look. It’s so chic, but for being only 5’3″, I always seemed to shy away from this trend– until this year. I am so excited that I no longer have to avoid flares and I am so excited to share these tips with you!
Style Tip #1: Shop in Petites
If don’t have the legs that are as seen on the runways, you’re not alone. Filter your search by looking at flares that are made specifically for petite women. It will save you the time to rehem the bottoms and more importantly, it will help you avoid hemming away part of the flare.
Style Tip #2: Stay True to Your Shape
The key to looking the most flattering, in anything you wear, is wearing clothing and sizings that compliment your body shape. That being said, when choosing a flared pant leg, select a pair that is more narrow than your hips. This technique will help you choose the right amount of flare for your body shape and help you stay away from selecting a pair that may overpower your size.
Style Tip #3: Pair the Flares with a Wedge
Pairing your flares with either a wedge or a heel will elongate your legs and accentuate your figure. Keep in mind when pairing your flares with your shoes, that the length of the pants should be covering the majority of your shoes.
Bonus: Check out my latest post here, if you are now looking for some new wedges! (The ones listed are all under $100)
The flares that I have found to fit me are by Asos and Boohoo. Below I have selected 14 pairs that I thought would be a great start to your search with some being under $20!
I hope you enjoyed this post and let me know how you pair your flares! I’d love to hear!3
