Happy Monday Beauty! I hope you had a fun/relaxing weekend! I am really excited that you decided to stop by The Beautiful Melody because today I am sharing 3 style tips on how to tastefully pop such a passionate color, like red, to your everyday style. This may seem like an oddly specific post, and though you can take these style tips and refer it to any bright color, this rich hue just screams the holidays to me…and who doesn’t love the holidays?!

So let’s get started, shall we…

I sometimes feel like red is too bold for me, but a rich red is just too beautiful to pass up, especially during the holiday season! My Coach Rogue handbag is the most beautiful bright red and I have been in love with adding it to my neutral style.

You can never go wrong with pairing a rich red with a bold print. I have a strong attachment to these beauties here, hah ($69!). For being such independent and bold prints, they compliment one another so so well. And for me, I love adding a print and texture, like lace or tulle, with my reds so not all the attention is on my red accent, whether it is a handbag, a blouse, or my chose of lipstick.

Just because you’re popping a bright color into your look, doesn’t mean that that has to be your only color. For instance, in my Effortless (Daytime) Fall Style post, you will see that I added two colors: my yellow plaid button-up and my red handbag! This is a great example because I incorporated two colors that weren’t fighting for the spotlight which is the style secret! If you decide to pair another color with your reds, just be sure that the secondary color stays secondary and more subtle.

And in other news, who is excited for Halloween?! I can’t believe it’s already just days away now! I don’t like the spooky aspect on Halloween and all the scary commercials that come on TV during this time ha, but I love dressing up and cannot wait to see everyone else’s creative costumes! What are you dressing up as/doing this year?
