Well hello, Beauties and welcome to The Beautiful Melody! Over the weekend Ian and I went to Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. You know it’s fancy when they throw in a French word… But basically it is a car show showcasing retro vehicles and concept cars and it is SO COOL!
How cute is this little car?!! ^^
I had so much fun looking at all the beautiful cars and their aesthetics, along with, of course, picking out the ones I wanted to add to my imaginary collection. #fakeittilyoumakeit (to an extent… ha)
Anyhow, I slightly talked about this in my How to Wear the 70s Inspired Trend but I have noticed that embroidery is not going away anytime soon; in fact, it is becoming even bigger entering fall fashion! Ian wasn’t a huge fan of my jacket at first. He told me it looked like I entered a 70’s inspired home and used the fabric from its curtains to create my jacket haha. I appreciate his honesty and I actually took it as a compliment because he was right, it is totally 70s inspired which is why I bought it; and I loved it and felt confident in it which is all that matters in the fashion world–confidence.
I was so sad when I went to link my jacket to my Instagram photo and found out that it was sold out on both Nordstrom and TopShop, but I did hunt for some other gorgeous embroidered jackets for you lovelies to check out! I had a lot of fun popping such a bold pattern to my everyday monochromatic look. I paired the look with my metallic rose gold oxfords to tie in the bold statement of the jacket, but you can easily play it down by pairing it with brown (preferably a chestnut or saddle brown) sandals. But if there is anything to take away from this when experimenting with fashion, is to find what you genuinely enjoy and what makes you feel confident, no matter how minimal or bold it is because that is how you create your style!
