3 Ways to Style an Oversized Sweater

Hello gorgeous, I hope you had a fabu weekend! I went with my family for a little weekend getaway to San Fransisco to shop around and look at all the lovely Christmas displays throughout Union Square. Union Square is my favorite, especially during this time of year and a must see spot in SF if you are ever traveling and in the area!

As the weather is getting colder and my lashes turn to icicles, I find myself only wanting to wear super cozy sweaters. Anyone else the same way? Well gorgeous, just because we may want to be wearing the most oversized and coziest sweater, doesn’t mean we can’t look très chic while doing it!

So let’s start styling!

Style Look #1:

I recently partnered up with Mint Julep and fell in love with their oversized sweaters, also referred to as slouchy on the site. They are the perfect amount of oversized(ness?) without making it super boxy (love!).

Style look #1 is so chic and so comfy, I really loved how it turned out.

Layering a chambray top under your oversized sweater is such a easy way to elevate your outfit. It also adds some sophistication to the casual attire making it a versatile look for many occasions.

To keep the look light, I added my favorite go-to beige booties (linked similar). I especially love doing this when I am wearing all dark tones from the ankle up.

And of course, you can’t forget accessories. The layer pendant made the perfect finishing touches. I linked two very similar ones here and here. I love the colors because they compliment neutral tones so beautifully.

Style Look #2:

Who says you can’t be cozy on a night out on the town?! hah. I had so much fun styling look #2!

The sweater in the shade rose is such a pretty soft pink. It added a girly touch to this all black edgy ootn.

When dressing up cozy-wear, you really need your accessories to do most of the work. And the easiest way to solve that conundrum is by statement baubles. I will say this again and again on my blog and in life: accessories are the easiest way to make an outfit très chic and fabulous!

These Jeffery Campbell OTK boots are under $200 and SO comfortable! But I also linked another pair here for under $70 and I mean, if you don’t buy it I will because you cant beat that price…

Style Look #3:

And lastly, the look I will be wearing all winter long…

Soft shades of grey and pink is such a beautiful color combination that is tons flattering on all skin tones.

I hope you enjoyed this post and got inspired with some of these style tips! And ladies, be sure to check out The Mint Julep Boutique. Their slouchies are amazing, and they have some really adorable fall/winter pieces as well!
