Chambray Tops & Why It’s the Best for Spring!

Hello Gorgeous, I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Today on The Beautiful Melody I am talking about this adorable top and why this fabric is the best for Spring! (PS. Happy first day of spring!)

First, this blouse. How fun is it?! I LOVE the ruffle sleeves. It definitely elevates the overall look making it extremely chic and very girly. Goodnight Macaroon has some adorable and fun pieces for spring/summer. I highly recommend checking out the boutique! They even have an exact dupe of the famous Chloé crossbody bag for under $100! (Linked below).

Style Tip: When wearing a loose-fitted blouse, especially one with dramatic sleeves, you want to keep the bottom half of the outfit fitted. Example: skinny jeans, pencil skirt, or a pair of shorts. Something that accentuates your natural curves to keep the outfit balanced and put together.

I also love adding a heel when I wear blouses like this because it elongates my legs, giving the illusion that I am taller, as well as giving more separation and space from my top half to bottom half.

Now to the fabric and why it is the best for spring…

Chambray is one of my favorite fabrics!! Chambray is a sister of cotton, so like cotton, it will keep you cool in the heat and is super comfortable to wear. It is often woven with a higher thread count making it a more breathable fabric. Also, (my favorite reason) it has the look of denim without having the weight of denim. It’s like you can have your cake and eat it too after all!

Below I have linked 14 chambray pieces, both blouses and dresses, that you will regret if you don’t have in your closet!

In other news, I went to see Beauty and Beast opening day! It has been my absolute favorite storyline ever since I was a little girl, so I definitely had super high expectations. When do I not have super high expectations though, haha. Emma was the perfect Belle and I had no idea she could sing. Have you seen the movie yet? What did you think about it? Comment down below!
