Choker Playsuit and Gladiators

Last night I wore this adorable playsuit for my birthday dinner at, what better place to go to then, Nordstrom! Every birthday, we (my brothers and I) get to choose where we want to eat as a family. Although my brothers usually choose the same place every year, I always look forward to selecting a new place and this year included eating at Bazille and then going downstairs to shop! Was that pre-planned? Maybe, maybe not, but most likely… 😉

In the last few months, I have slowly been seeing high collared necklines starting to trend and I find this look absolutely beautiful, so naturally I had to try it out. At first I was skeptical with this look because I don’t have an elongated neck like a model (shocking, right?), but I was surprisingly really happy, felt like the supermodel that I am not, and fell in love with the look! It is such a simple go-to outfit to throw on and to look effortlessly stylish in. Of course you can easily replicate this look by wearing a low cut or strapless top and pairing it with a thick choker necklace. Below I have listed a few chokers and scarves that will be perfect to achieve this same look! #DIY

Finding playsuits with the choker detail is a little tricky to find, for it is currently widely popular in Australia and hasn’t quite hit the U.S. yet – the struggles of a trendsetter… This trend at the moment does not have an universal name yet; some brands describe it has a thick collar, where as others refer to it as a halter neckline, or choker playsuit (which makes the most sense haha), but to save you the trouble I have listed some of my top faves including this blush playsuit by Sabo Skirt and this gorgeous white playsuit from Sabo Skirt as well (you have to see the deep cutout on the back of this playsuit; it’s so beautiful, I think I am in love!)
